A leading international law firm is looking to hire a mid-level Tax Associate (2–4 PQE) to join its highly regarded London tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad mix of international and domestic transactional and advisory matters, supporting complex work across corporate, finance, and real estate transactions. The team regularly collaborates with colleagues across global offices, including a strong pipeline of work from the US.
You will join a small, collaborative tax team within a major London office and work closely with senior lawyers on high-profile matters. From day one, you will have meaningful responsibility, exposure to complex deals, and the opportunity to develop your profile within a supportive and internationally connected practice. The team places a strong emphasis on mentorship, professional development, and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities- Advising on domestic and cross-border tax aspects of corporate transactions
- Supporting finance and real estate related tax matters
- Working closely with lawyers across multiple practice groups and international offices
- Contributing to client relationship development and business development initiatives
- 2–4 years’ PQE as a tax lawyer in private practice
- Experience advising on corporate tax matters (finance and/or real estate exposure beneficial)
- Exposure to international tax issues is advantageous
- Strong technical, drafting, and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and with clients
