Solutions London - To £190,000 base plus package

Design the deals that define the market. You will be stepping into one of the most strategically significant desks in the global Alternative Risk Transfer market — a team that sits at the intersection of balance-sheet engineering, captive strategy, and global corporate risk management. This recognised insurance group is a major player in the global corporate insurance market, with a deep-rooted and prestigious alternative risk transfer function at its heart — delivering structured solutions to Fortune 500 US based corporates with extensive global operations. Their specialist captive fronting unit is a highly successful and profitable business, advising on complex captive structures for a genuinely multinational clientele.

The Opportunity

This is a newly-carved role, created specifically to absorb and manage an existing portfolio of structured captive fronting mandates — and to grow it. The portfolio you'll inherit has been carefully cultivated over years by a skilled and respected captive leader, who is now moving upwards into a broader global remit. This is a deliberate, strategic succession — not a vacancy. You're not backfilling; you're stepping into a platform that has been intentionally built for the right person to take forward. The client landscape is active, the deal flow is strategically referred, and the runway for your own development is real. In short: you get the clients, the visibility, and the room to evolve.

The Role Profile

  • Take ownership of an inherited portfolio of live captive fronting mandates across energy, technology, financial services and general industrials
  • Structure bespoke fronting solutions for Fortune 500 corporates who retain significant risk on their own balance sheets or via captive vehicles
  • Model risk, design programme architecture, and manage the technical dialogue with CFOs, Risk Officers and Treasury teams
  • Work hand-in-glove with the Service Management team who execute and manage programmes operationally across global jurisdictions
  • Contribute to team revenue targets within a practice that sits at the core of this group’s global ART division
  • Develop your own client presence over time, with clear scope to progress into a more senior or leadership capacity as the function grows

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • You’ll combine technical rigour with the interpersonal fluency to own a client room — someone who can design a structured solution in the morning and present it with genuine authority to the board of a Fortune 500 company in the afternoon.
  • 5–12 years’ experience in captive fronting, structured insurance, programme business or ART at a top-tier international insurer or reinsurer
  • Solid grounding in captive structures — cell companies, rent-a-captive, single-parent captives — and the jurisdictional complexity that comes with multinational programmes
  • Commercially aware and relationship-oriented: able to contribute to team targets today and cultivate your own client relationships over time
  • Familiarity with large-scale multinational corporate clients is strongly preferred — you’ll need to be credible in rooms where the stakes are high and the questions are harder
  • Commutable to London.
