An elite international law firm is seeking a 2–3 PQE Associate to join its London Litigation Practice Group, with a focus on intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. The team is recognised for handling high-stakes IP, patent, and technology litigation for major multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing associate to work on market-leading disputes at the intersection of law, science, and technology, while being part of a highly collaborative and internationally integrated disputes practice.
The successful candidate will work on a broad range of contentious IP and commercial litigation matters, including:
- Patent litigation, including technically complex disputes in sectors such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and emerging technologies
- Trade mark, copyright, and design disputes
- Confidential information and trade secrets litigation
- Technology and IP-heavy commercial disputes
- Cross-border litigation, coordinating with international counsel and offices
- High Court litigation, including matters before the Business and Property Courts and specialist IP courts
- Strategic advisory work on pre-litigation risk, enforcement strategy, and settlement
Associates will play a key role in case strategy, drafting pleadings, managing disclosure exercises, coordinating expert evidence, preparing witnesses, and supporting trial preparation.
The firm is seeking a high-calibre associate with the following profile:
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 2–3 years’ PQE
- Experience in IP litigation, ideally including patent disputes, from a top-tier law firm
- Strong exposure to complex commercial litigation
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and case management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes litigation environments
- A technical or scientific background (for example life sciences, engineering, or physics) would be advantageous but is not essential.
