We are looking to strengthen the London office of an elite US law firm with the addition of an English law-trained and qualified associate specialising in derivatives and structured finance. The ideal candidate will have gained experience at a Magic Circle firm or a comparable international firm with a top-tier structured finance practice, and will have between 18 months and 4 years’ post-qualification experience.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative team operating on a dynamic international platform, advising on sophisticated, high-value transactions.
The RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in supporting complex derivatives and structured products matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating ISDA documentation
- Advising on structured finance and derivatives transactions
- Contributing to the broader debt finance practice, with exposure to corporate finance and leveraged finance matters
This role will suit an associate who has already taken on a meaningful level of responsibility, is comfortable working with a degree of autonomy, and is eager to broaden their skill set within a market-leading practice.
Candidate ProfileWe are looking for:
- UK-trained and qualified associate with 18 months to 4 years’ PQE
- Strong foundation in derivatives and structured products
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in relation to ISDA documentation
- Experience with loan products or acquisition finance is advantageous, but not essential
- Strong academic record
- A committed, commercially minded and versatile lawyer with ambition to develop their practice within a high-quality, supportive team
