As part of their expansion plans, a Global Insurer has an opening for a Senior Underwriter to join their Professional Indemnity division to focus on Construction PI insurance. The Professional Indemnity book is a blend of North American, International and UK business, both primary and excess.
The role will entail:
- Underwriting individual risks, both renewals and new business
- Implementing portfolio management strategies to improve the loss ratio
- Managing relationships with Broker partners including visits
- Acting as a product expert for Construction Professional Indemnity
- Helping train more junior members of the team
The successful candidate will have:
- A solid reputation underwriting Construction PI business, ideally both US and international
- Experience with Architects, Engineers, Construction Professionals, Property Owners/Developers
- A strong network of Broker contacts in the PI space
