The Operational Consultant is a hands-on role responsible for embedding the preferred cash flow modelling solution (Conquest) across the group. This role requires travel to hubs across the UK to conduct training to advisors for Conquest. The role may extend to supporting the central change team in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our Hub operations through technology and operational best practice.
The Operational Consultant provides close support to our hubs by providing training to users in both verbal and documented forms.
Key accountabilities:- Devise and deliver training of Conquest (cash flow modelling) and other applications to users, covering the end-to-end business process.
- Identify where users are not adhering to processes and provide corrective training.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our business by leveraging technology solutions.
- Support hub management in identification of data quality issues and devise approach to efficient data cleansing.
- Analyse data and produce reports as required in support of informed decision making.
- Support Hubs in the configuration of Conquest and other technology.
- Identify improvements to improve the use and effectiveness of Conquest collaborating with the Capability owner of Conquest and the Conquest vendor.
- Devise Client Output solutions utilising Conquest.
- Act as second line of response of system queries and issue resolution.
- Devise testing plans and execute where necessary.
- Lead small scale improvement initiatives from end-to-end.
- Sustain a strong and close working relationship with regions and provide proactive assistance/support to staff where appropriate.
- 3 years+ experience as a qualified Paraplanner, preferably with experience of leading a small team.
- Significant experience in cash flow modelling tools (e.g. Conquest, Voyant).
- Preferred experience in delivering training related to cash flow modelling.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail, ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and work well under pressure.
- Hands-on experience of Adviser practitioner software (e.g. CURO, Intelligent Office) and Investment Platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite essential, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be resilient and capable of coping with the continuous challenges of the role as well as calm in pressured situations.
- A natural people person who is skilled at gaining trust and is a proven collaborator.
- Enthusiasm and warmth of personality that allows and facilitates successful internal relationships whilst maintaining confidentiality and professionalism needed for the role.
