We have been retained by a leading private equity-backed transactional risk underwriting agency to identify a Tax Underwriter to join its growing Tax Liability Insurance practice. The business has established itself as a prominent player in the transactional risk market and, with strong institutional backing and ambitious growth plans, is investing further in its underwriting capabilities to meet sustained demand for tax risk solutions across the Americas.
Working alongside senior underwriters, you will support the assessment and underwriting of tax liability insurance risks, assist in managing broker relationships, and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's tax risk appetite and strategy. The role offers genuine exposure to complex transactions and direct engagement with clients, brokers and advisers across the deal lifecycle — with clear scope to develop into a more senior underwriting position as the practice grows.
Candidates will bring some grounding in the tax insurance market — whether from an underwriting, broking or advisory background — or a strong foundation in M&A, corporate or international tax from a Big 4 or law firm environment, with a clear interest in moving into the insurance market. This is an early-career opportunity to join a well-capitalised, growth-oriented platform and build a specialism at the forefront of the transactional risk market.
