I’m looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a successful and well established IFA practice in London as it embarks on it’s next growth phase.
This is a key technical role supporting Financial Advisers through the delivery of high-quality, compliant financial planning recommendations and suitability reports. You’ll work across a broad range of advice areas including pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning and protection, while also helping to mentor and develop junior paraplanners within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Producing accurate and compliant suitability reports in line with FCA requirements
• Undertaking complex financial planning research and analysis across pensions (DB & DC), retirement planning, investments, estate planning, protection, and taxation
• Reviewing adviser recommendations for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Supporting advisers with client meeting preparation and ensuring cases progress efficiently
• Liaising with providers and maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Acting as a technical point of reference for advisers and paraplanners
• Contributing to process improvements, training, and paraplanning best practice
Requirements for the role:
• Minimum 4 years’ paraplanning experience within a UK financial advice firm
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
• Proven experience writing complex suitability reports
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of FCA regulation and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
• CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or making strong progress towards
Good to have:
• Experience mentoring junior staff
• Knowledge of CURO, Voyant, and FE Analytics
