The team is busy, growing, and already performing at a high level but they need someone senior who can elevate their claims proposition even further. Someone who sees claims as more than a process. Someone who can partner closely with brokers, take a lead in market discussions, and bring a solutions-led, commercially minded approach to every file.
You’ll have real scope here, to shape claims strategy, influence how the team operates, and, in time, carve out a path toward a Head of role.
Your day to day (although you will have chance to own it):
- Own claims end-to-end: from first notification through to settlement, pushing progress and closing efficiently.
- Act as the client’s advocate: give clear, pragmatic advice, manage expectations, and keep them informed at every step.
- Drive the process with insurers and third parties: negotiate outcomes, answer queries, and remove blockers quickly.
- Stay sharp on market, policy, and legal detail to make confident, technically sound decisions.
- Keep the engine running: process notifications, updates, and documentation in line with procedures.
- Track money with intent: monitor collections/payments, chase outstanding items, and keep everything moving.
We’re open on background but have a strong preference to find someone with a good decade of experience in the space. Whether you’re currently with a broker or on the carrier side, what matters is your expertise in Marine and Marine Cargo claims, your ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and your confidence in pushing the market to get results.
On offer is a salary in the £90,000 - £140,000 range including a suite of benefits which includes health insurance, pension and bonus.
