Do you enjoy the hybrid nature of a Broker and Technical role and have an interest in the marine cargo and logistics insurance industry? This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for more market exposure, broader responsibility, and the chance to be genuinely involved in placing business, not just sitting in an office servicing it.
Here, you’ll work closely with both the Head of Marine Cargo as well as the Senior Cargo Broker. You’ll sit in that sweet spot between broking and technical work, gaining visibility with underwriters while still owning your accounts, all within a respected Lloyd’s marine team that values experience over hierarchy.
This is a brand new Marine Cargo opportunity in London joining one of those well-balanced Lloyd’s marine brokers, not too big, not too small, with a strong reputation and a close-knit, well-resourced team. Ideal for someone keen to broaden their market presence, build underwriter relationships, and still retain a solid technical grounding within a supportive and experienced marine team.
Salary up to £40,000 for this one, potentially higher for exceptional individuals with opportunity to work in a hybrid set up (3 in the office, 2 from home).
What do you have to offer? You’ll have picked up some experience as a Broker/Technician and/or Underwriting Assistant and either come from a Marine Cargo background or feel you have transferable skills to offer. You’ll be able to produce slips, process but have a desire to be in the market and place business on behalf of Producers.
If you feel you are watching from the sidelines and would like more action, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Next step? Either apply with your CV, but if you don’t have an up to date profile, still get in touch and we can help you with that.
