A leading disputes practice is seeking a talented International Arbitration Associate to join its high-performing London team. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value, and often market-leading disputes across a broad range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, financial services, technology, and international trade. The team advises corporates, sovereign entities, financial institutions, and ultra-high-net-worth clients on sophisticated cross-border matters, often involving multiple jurisdictions and high-profile counterparties.

The successful candidate will play a key role on major international arbitrations under a range of institutional rules including LCIA, ICC, SIAC, and UNCITRAL, with exposure to both commercial and investment treaty disputes.

The Role

  • Work closely with highly regarded partners and senior lawyers on strategically significant international disputes
  • Take responsibility for drafting pleadings, witness evidence, and submissions
  • Be involved in advocacy preparation, hearings, and tribunal strategy
  • Manage complex factual and expert evidence across multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Liaise directly with clients, counsel, experts, and overseas law firms
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
  • Have genuine opportunities for progression within a collaborative and ambitious team

Candidate Profile

  • Are England & Wales qualified and trained at a respected UK or international law firm
  • Have 5–7 years’ PQE with a strong background in international arbitration and complex commercial disputes
  • Possess excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • Are commercially minded, confident working directly with clients, and capable of running substantial workstreams independently
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and intellectually demanding environment
  • Have experience working on cross-border disputes and coordinating international teams
