This role blends technical expertise with leadership, ensuring clients receive outstanding financial advice while guiding, supporting, and developing a high-performing advisory team. The firm is in an exciting phase of growth, expanding rapidly through both organic growth and acquisition. They currently have 40 advisers across the UK, with plans to double this number over the next 12–24 months.

Location: UK-wide - Flexible working/occasional travel. Offices are situated across the UK so would be expected to travel occasionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advice Quality & Standards: Own and embed the firm's advice framework, ensuring suitability, consistency, and client-centric outcomes across all advisers. Provide oversight through file reviews, observations, and quality assurance activity.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Work closely with Compliance to ensure advice activity aligns with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, and internal governance standards. Act as a senior point of accountability for advice risk and readiness for audits or reviews.

  • Adviser Development & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and develop a national adviser population, embedding a strong coaching culture. Observe advisers in practice, provide constructive feedback, and raise overall capability across the team.
  • Performance Management: Set and monitor clear KPIs covering commercial performance, quality metrics, and behavioural standards. Support high performers and implement structured development or remediation plans where required.
  • Talent & Succession: Support adviser recruitment, onboarding, and long-term succession planning, identifying and nurturing future leaders within the advisory population.
