IDEX are partnered with a fast-growing, PE-backed wealth management firm expanding rapidly through acquisition. As they scale, they're investing heavily in the development, performance and long-term success of their Advisers.
Our client are now seeking a Head of Learning & Development/Adviser Training to design, lead and embed a best-in-class Adviser training framework across the business. This is a highly influential role, shaping the Adviser journey from entry-level through to Chartered Planner, while helping Advisers transition from service-led client books to sustainable, growth-focused practices.
Key Responsibilities- Design and own the end-to-end Adviser training strategy across the firm
- Build structured Adviser training pathways, including New entrant/Trainee Advisers, Level 4 qualified Advisers and Chartered Financial Planners
- Define the training journey, competencies and milestones at each career stage
- Develop scalable training modules covering technical capability, regulatory standards, client outcomes and commercial skills and business development
- Support Advisers inheriting established client banks to deliver excellent ongoing service, develop a growth and "hunter" mindset and build sustainable, profitable client portfolios
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, Hub leaders and Advisers across the network
- Ensure training is consistent, measurable and aligned with business objectives
- Use MI to track progress, effectiveness and Adviser outcomes
- Proven experience in Adviser training, L&D or capability development within wealth management, IFA or professional services
- Strong understanding of Adviser qualification pathways (entry-level to Chartered), FCA expectations and regulatory standards and adviser productivity, client segmentation and growth strategies
- Commercially minded, with the ability to shift advisers from purely service-driven to growth-oriented
- Credible senior leader, comfortable influencing experienced Advisers and stakeholders
