Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Mission
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Indemnity Broker to join a growing team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in legal indemnity insurance who is looking to develop their technical expertise, build strong client relationships, and progress their career within an expanding business.
Initially, you will work closely with an established broker, supporting existing client relationships while helping to develop new business opportunities. The role will involve a varied portfolio of legal indemnity risks, with a particular focus on larger property developments and complex transactions, typically involving property values of £5 million and above. You will handle a range of standard legal indemnity products, including restrictive covenants, access issues, and search indemnities, while building your knowledge across the wider market.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the legal indemnity insurance market, whether in a broking, underwriting, or another relevant role. You should have a good understanding of standard legal indemnity products, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships. Experience with right-to-light insurance would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided. A legal degree or specific insurance qualifications are not required, with support available to help you gain relevant professional qualifications as you develop.
This opportunity would suit someone who is commercially minded and keen to take the next step in their career. There is genuine potential to progress into a Sales Executive position within approximately 12 months, with increased responsibility for client relationships, business development, and achieving sales targets.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, alongside access to company-wide profit-sharing bonuses linked to business performance. Additional team bonuses may also be available, with the potential for sales-related incentives as you progress into a more commercially focused role. The business is employee-owned, creating an environment where employees can share in its success and benefit from its continued growth.
The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of typically two days per week in the London office, although some flexibility may be available depending on your location. You will be joining an established and growing team, with the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop your technical expertise, and play an important part in the team's continued success.
If you have experience in legal indemnity insurance and are looking for a role that combines technical broking, client relationship management, and clear opportunities for career progression, this could be an excellent next step.
