We're partnered with an international national law firm with one of the most established insurance practices in the market, acting for a heavyweight panel of insurers across a broad range of specialty and casualty lines. As cyber continues to grow as a strategic line for their insurer clients, they are looking to appoint a Partner to lead and develop their cyber offering within the Insurance group.
This is a genuine opportunity to put your name to a practice rather than slot into one. The panel relationships are already in place and the work is there. What's needed is a partner with the market profile and technical depth to shape the proposition, lead from the front and grow the team around it.
You will advise insurers across the full lifecycle of cyber risk, from incident response and breach coaching through to coverage advice, policy wording and defence of third-party claims. That includes ransomware and business email compromise events, regulatory investigations and
notifications, data protection claims and group actions, and recovery and subrogation work. Alongside your own practice, you will deepen relationships with panel insurers, MGAs and brokers, build the firm's profile across the cyber market, and lead, develop and grow a team as the practice scales.
We're keen to speak with partners, or legal directors and senior associates ready to step into partnership, with a strong cyber and data practice built on insurer-side work. You'll bring established relationships with cyber insurers and the wider incident response ecosystem, the credibility to be trusted on high-stakes live incidents, and the commercial drive to build a practice from the front.
The draw here is you'd the backing of an established panel of leading insurers, with the work already flowing, and a genuine mandate to lead and shape the cyber proposition rather than inherit someone else's. That comes with real autonomy over strategy, positioning and team build as the practice grows, in a fast-moving, high-profile area of the insurance market where the work rarely looks the same twice. All of it sits on the platform of a leading national firm, with genuine growth opportunity as cyber continues to expand.
