A highly regarded, independent wealth management business is looking to appoint a Financial Planner to complement its growing team in Leeds (LS8).
This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser who wants to develop their career within a growing business, whilst benefiting from an established client base and significant assets under management to work with immediately.
The opportunity
The successful candidate will inherit responsibility for c.£20m of existing client assets, providing an excellent platform from which to establish themselves within the business.
The client bank consists predominantly of high-quality private clients, with an average client relationship of approximately £300k FUM.
You will take responsibility for developing and maintaining these long-term relationships, whilst also having the opportunity to grow your own client bank through referrals, networking and new business opportunities generated by the wider business.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing highly affluent and HNW private clients.
- Provide holistic, independent financial planning and investment advice.
- Conduct regular client reviews and identify changing financial needs.
- Advise across areas including investments, pensions, retirement planning and tax-efficient strategies.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their families.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and generate additional assets.
- Develop new client relationships through referrals, networking and business-generated enquiries.
Work closely with the wider paraplanning and support team to deliver a first-class client experience.
- Keep up to date with regulatory, technical and market developments.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the wider business.
About you
We are looking for an established Financial Adviser / Financial Planner who is comfortable managing client relationships and delivering holistic advice.
You will ideally have
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum.
- Experience providing holistic financial planning and investment advice.
- A strong track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commercially minded approach, with an appetite to develop existing and new client relationships.
- The confidence to deal with HNW clients and complex financial planning requirements.
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career within an independent wealth management environment.
Chartered status or a desire to work towards Chartered status would be advantageous, but is not essential.
What is on offer?
- £60,000–£90,000 basic salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
- c.£20m FUM inherited from day one.
- Average client relationship of c.£300k FUM.
- Established client bank with significant opportunity for further growth.
- Genuine opportunity to develop your own client relationships and increase earnings.
- Hybrid working – typically 4 days in the Leeds office / 1 day remotely.
- Excellent support from an established paraplanning and client services team.
- Opportunity to join a growing, independent business with a strong client proposition.
If you are an experienced Financial Adviser or Financial Planner looking for a move where you can inherit a substantial client bank rather than starting from scratch, this could be an excellent opportunity to explore.
