We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Financial Planner to join a well-established and forward-thinking wealth management business in Birmingham. This role offers a rare opportunity to build on an existing book of clients, work with a dynamic team, and deliver high-quality, holistic financial planning advice.
Role Purpose
The Financial Planner will be responsible for building long-term relationships with new and existing clients, delivering personalised and compliant financial advice, and helping clients achieve their financial goals. The role is central to the firm’s commitment to maintaining high standards of client service and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a personal business plan in line with agreed performance targets.
- Provide tailored, goals-based financial planning advice to new and existing clients.
- Maintain and grow client relationships through regular reviews and ongoing service.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and referrals through professional relationships and networking.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including paraplanners and investment managers.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to ensure continued suitability of advice and investment strategy.
- Actively contribute to business development through networking, referrals, and events.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, market trends, and financial products.
- Uphold the firm’s standards and values in all client and professional interactions.
Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent) – Chartered status preferred or working towards.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering financial planning advice on a fee-based model.
- Strong technical knowledge across investments, pensions, tax planning, and protection.
- Proven ability to build rapport and retain long-term client relationships.
- Comfortable engaging with high-net-worth individuals and professional connections.
