Growth doesn't happen by accident. Someone has to build the machine behind it. That's you.

Let's start with what this isn't.

It isn't a job where you sit centrally and issue targets.

And it isn't a "roll out the strategy" role where the strategy already exists and you simply deliver the deck.

It's much more hands-on than that - and more interesting.

This is a fast-growing, PE-backed national wealth management group, built around strong regional businesses and backed to keep growing.

As the group has expanded, the next challenge is making sure its commercial capability grows with it.

Some regions have brilliant commercial instincts but need help turning them into a plan.

Others have the plan but not the routines to deliver it.

Your job is to work out which is which - and actually fix it.

Region by region.

Not with a one-size-fits-all playbook that looks great on a slide but dies on contact with real advisers.

  • What you'd actually be doing
  • You'll sit alongside Financial Planning Directors and Heads of Advice, turning "we want to grow" into clear commercial plans with real priorities, measures and owners.
  • You'll help regions identify where the opportunity actually sits - whether that's adviser productivity, conversion, client opportunities, referrals or wider organic growth - and build the routines that turn those opportunities into revenue.
  • That means creating the commercial habits behind sustainable growth: the reviews, MI, playbooks and accountability that help regional teams perform better without making them feel centrally managed.
  • And you'll track what's genuinely working, so the good ideas travel across the group and the bad ones don't get repeated ten times over.
  • Who does well here
  • Someone who's led growth, distribution or sales within wealth management or financial planning and has actually built commercial plans and made them stick across multiple sites or regions.
  • Someone who can look at a spreadsheet of MI and see three opportunities other people missed.
  • Someone regional leaders would want in the room - not because of their title, but because they're useful.
  • You'll need to be comfortable winning people over through influence rather than instruction, while also knowing when it's time to challenge, be direct and drive action.
  • The practical stuff
  • You'll report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with Financial Planning Directors, Heads of Advice and the central commercial team.
  • The role is UK-based and hybrid, with regular travel to regional offices and London.
