A Lloyd’s syndicate is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to join its second line Risk & Assurance function on a 6-month contract starting mid-February. This role sits within a flat, high-exposure risk team and will work closely with underwriting and the wider business.

The Role

  • Support and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
  • Own and maintain risk registers, controls, and the risk universe
  • Lead risk and control assessments with business stakeholders
  • Develop, monitor, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
  • Investigate risk incidents and ensure lessons learned
  • Prepare risk reporting for senior management and committees
  • Contribute to ORSA, non‑actuarial stress & scenario testing, and model validation
  • Support wider initiatives including emerging risks and regulatory deliverables
  • Use the Decision Focus risk management system

Key Requirements

  • Strong Enterprise Risk experience within a Lloyd’s syndicate (essential)
  • Exposure to underwriting risk (not purely operational risk)
  • Good understanding of Lloyd’s regulatory environment
  • Experience with non‑actuarial stress testing and scenario analysis
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, business‑facing role
  • Experience with enterprise risk systems (Decision Focus preferred)
