Job Description

Employment Law Partner – National Law Firm (London)

Employer-Led Focus | Senior Role | High-Quality National Platform

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Employment Law Partner to join our London office as part of our market-leading national practice. This is a strategic appointment aimed at strengthening our employer-led capabilities, particularly in complex and commercially sensitive matters.

As a Partner, you will have the platform and resources of a full-service national firm, with a broad cross-sector client base including household-name corporates, high-growth businesses, public sector bodies, and international organisations.

The Role

  • Lead and develop the London employment law offering, focusing on high-value, complex, and business-critical work for employers.
  • Advise on a full spectrum of employment matters including senior executive issues, TUPE, business reorganisations, discrimination, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, and employment litigation.
  • Collaborate closely with our corporate, commercial, regulatory, and dispute resolution teams to provide seamless multi-disciplinary advice.
  • Drive business development initiatives to grow the client base and enhance the firm’s profile in the London market.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and client service.

About You

  • A senior employment lawyer, ideally with existing partner or legal director experience, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional employer-side advice.
  • Some client following or established relationships that you can bring to the role.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to understand clients’ businesses and deliver pragmatic, solution-driven advice.
  • A collaborative leader, keen to contribute to the growth of a dynamic, forward-thinking national firm.

Why Join Us?

  • Top-tier platform: Work within a recognised employment team, ranked nationally for the quality of its work and client base.
  • High-quality client roster: Access to significant national and international employers, as well as growth companies in emerging sectors.
  • Strategic growth role: Opportunity to shape and grow the London employment practice.
  • Collaborative culture: Enjoy the support of a collegiate partnership with shared values and a focus on client service.
  • Competitive remuneration: Attractive partner package with clear progression and equity potential.

If you are a commercially focused employment law partner (or senior lawyer ready to step up) with the drive to lead and grow a London-based employer-side practice, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Confidential enquiries welcome.
