This is a role for experienced commercial insurance professionals who enjoy winning, advising and retaining quality clients — not managing layers of internal complexity.

We’re working with a highly successful, independent UK & Ireland insurance broking group that is investing in a newly formed mid-corporate team in Scotland. The aim is simple: provide a better, more joined-up service to clients who have outgrown the SME model but are underserved by national brokers.

As a Client Director, you’ll work as part of this new team, developing and advising a portfolio of mid-corporate clients across Scotland, supported by a strong internal infrastructure and senior market access. This is a genuinely client-facing role. You’ll be trusted to build relationships, deliver advice, and grow your book — without being distracted by unnecessary admin or rigid sales process.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Developing and managing a portfolio of mid-corporate commercial clients
  • Winning new business through referrals, introductions and your own network
  • Providing high-quality advisory-led insurance solutions
  • Working closely with specialist placing, claims and risk teams
  • Building long-term, retained client relationships across Scotland
