Shape the Insurance Strategy of a Global Business An opportunity has arisen to join a major international organisation with operations across multiple markets, where insurance is recognised as a strategic enabler of the business rather than simply a purchasing function.
This executive-level appointment will take ownership of the Group's global insurance strategy, leading the design, placement and governance of complex multinational insurance programmes whilst advising senior leadership on risk financing and emerging insurable risks.
Working across an international portfolio of businesses, you will partner with executive stakeholders, finance, treasury and operational leaders to ensure the organisation's insurance arrangements remain commercially effective, resilient and aligned with its long-term strategic objectives.
The Opportunity This is a broad and influential leadership role with responsibility for: Developing and delivering the Group's global Property Casualty insurance strategy.
Designing optimal risk financing solutions across the organisation, including the use of captive insurance, market placements and alternative risk transfer structures.
Leading the placement and ongoing management of complex multinational insurance programmes.
Overseeing the operational management and governance of the Group's captive insurance company.
Working with international operating businesses to ensure local insurance programmes are effective, compliant and aligned to Group standards.
Driving improvements in claims governance and insurance programme performance.
Advising senior executives on emerging risks, insurance market trends and strategic opportunities.
Identifying new commercial opportunities where insurance can support wider business growth and customer propositions.
About You We're looking to speak with experienced insurance leaders who combine technical expertise with commercial judgement and the ability to influence at executive level.
You are likely to have experience in one or more of the following: Leading insurance strategy within a large corporate or multinational organisation.
Managing complex global Property Casualty insurance programmes.
Captive insurance management and alternative risk financing.
Corporate risk management and insurance governance.
Working closely with Boards, Executive Committees and senior finance stakeholders.
Delivering insurance solutions across multiple international jurisdictions.
You will be commercially minded, analytically strong and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
Professional qualifications such as ACII, IRM or relevant finance qualifications would be advantageous, although significant experience in a comparable environment will be equally valued.
