About the Firm
A leading global law firm, are recruiting for a Counsel to join their FS Regulatory team in their London office, in the City.
About the Role
As a Counsel in the Financial Regulations team, you'll be responsible for providing expert legal advice to a diverse range of clients, from established financial institutions to cutting-edge fintech startups. The role focuses on navigating the complex regulatory landscape surrounding payments, digital assets, and other innovative financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Advisory: Provide legal counsel on a broad spectrum of financial services regulations, including those from the FCA, PRA, and Payment Systems Regulator (PSR).
- Transactional Support: Assist with corporate transactions involving fintech companies, including due diligence and regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Product Development: Advise clients on the legal and regulatory aspects of developing and launching new payment products and services, such as e-wallets, open banking solutions, and crypto-related offerings.
About You:
- This is a senior role that requires extensive experience in the Financial Services Regulatory practice area, and a proven track record of working across the payments and fintech space.
