I'm currently working with a growing financial planning firm in East Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Technical Paraplanning Team Leader. The business is looking for a technically strong Paraplanner who can act as the go-to technical expert, support complex client cases and help lead a small team. You will lead a team of two Paraplanners and provide technical support to three Trainee Advisers, while remaining hands-on with paraplanning and complex financial planning work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting a team of two Paraplanners
  • Acting as the technical expert within the business
  • Providing guidance and technical support to three Trainee Advisers
  • Producing and reviewing suitability reports
  • Conducting technical research across pensions, investments and protection
  • Assisting with complex client cases and financial planning strategies
  • Maintaining high standards of report writing and compliance
  • Supporting the ongoing development of junior team members
  • Contributing to process improvements across the technical function

The ideal candidate will have significant paraplanning experience, strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and taxation, and enjoy supporting others whilst remaining involved in complex case work.
