Job Title: Banking Partner – National Law Firm
Location: London (with flexible working options)
Overview
Our client, a leading national law firm with a strong reputation in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Banking Partner to join and grow their high-performing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded lawyer to play a key role in expanding the practice and shaping its future strategy.
The Role
You will lead and develop a broad range of banking and finance matters, with a particular focus on real estate finance. The work will cover:
- Acting for lenders, borrowers, investors, and developers on a variety of transactions.
- Advising on structured finance, development finance, investment finance, and refinancing.
- Leading negotiations and managing complex, high-value deals from inception to completion.
- Working closely with colleagues across real estate, corporate, and projects teams to deliver integrated client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development initiatives to grow the banking and finance offering nationally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, alternative lenders, investors, and developers.
- Provide strategic leadership to the finance team and mentor junior lawyers.
- Contribute to the firm’s profile through networking, thought leadership, and industry engagement.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant post-qualification experience in banking and finance law.
- Proven UK market experience within a leading law firm or in-house legal team.
- Demonstrable track record in business development and winning new work.
- Expertise across a broad range of banking matters, ideally with a focus on real estate finance.
- Strong leadership, client relationship management, and communication skills.
