Are you an experienced treasury professional looking for a role with real ownership, senior exposure and the opportunity to shape how a treasury function operates?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, expert treasury team within a leading UK investment platform, managing a very significant portfolio of client cash.
The role has genuine breadth. You'll take ownership of counterparty credit risk and liquidity risk, while also contributing across treasury dealing, forecasting, financial modelling, regulatory requirements and strategic projects.
You'll have regular exposure to senior stakeholders and Executive Directors and, when required, deputise for the Head of Treasury.
What you'll be doing
- Owning and developing the counterparty credit risk and liquidity risk frameworks across a significant client cash portfolio
- Designing and running stress tests, sensitivity analysis and what-if scenarios
- Leading cashflow forecasting and proactively identifying potential liquidity pressures
- Monitoring exposures against risk appetite and regulatory limits
- Acting as Treasury Dealer when required, including placing deposits with approved counterparties
- Ensuring dealing activity operates within relevant CASS and MIFIDPRU requirements
- Producing clear treasury analysis, risk assessments, forecasts and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Presenting complex treasury matters confidently to Executive Directors and non-specialist audiences
- Leading interest income forecasting, including model development, assumptions and variance analysis
- Working closely with finance and FP&A to integrate treasury forecasts into wider business planning
- Supporting regulatory reporting, documentation and controls
- Providing treasury input into strategic and growth projects across the wider business
The business has recently implemented FIS Integrity as its Treasury Management System and is looking to maximise its capabilities across risk monitoring, reporting and operational workflows.
At the same time, the team is actively exploring how AI, automation and data tools can enhance treasury analysis, reporting and risk management.
We're particularly interested in people who bring:
- Proven treasury experience, ideally with exposure to counterparty credit risk and/or liquidity risk
- Strong cashflow forecasting and financial modelling experience
- Experience placing deposits and/or undertaking treasury dealing activity
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to build and interpret models and scenarios
- Experience of interest income or similar financial forecasting
- The confidence to communicate complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A willingness to operate across the full breadth of Treasury responsibilities
A treasury or financial qualification such as ACT, AMCT, CFA or equivalent would be advantageous.
