- Emergency Lighting (Installation, Testing & Maintenance)
- Periodic Inspection & Testing (EICR)
- EV Charge Point Installation & Maintenance
- Solar PV Design & Installation
- Fire Alarm Systems (Installation, Commissioning, Testing & Maintenance)
- Security Systems, Intruder Alarms & CCTV
- Data Infrastructure Installation
The Role
As a Qualified Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and minor testing works across a range of commercial and industrial projects nationwide.
You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality installations in line with current regulations, project specifications, and company standards.
Projects will vary from small reactive works through to large-scale installations, including full fit-out and refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671
- Install containment systems, cabling, distribution boards, and final circuits
- Undertake electrical maintenance and fault-finding
- Support testing and inspection activities where required
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical schematics
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Represent IDES professionally on client sites
- Knowledge & Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- AM2 Qualification
- BS 7671: 18th Edition (current)
- Valid ECS Gold Card
- Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial installations
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to work nationwide and stay away from home when required
Desirable
- Experience working within automotive/bodyshop environments
- IPAF Certification (in date)
- PASMA Certification
- Basic inspection & testing knowledge (2391 or working towards)
