About Identomat: Identomat is an AI-powered identity verification, KYC/AML and fraud-prevention platform – bringing biometric liveness, document verification, AML and sanctions screening, KYB, age assurance and no-code onboarding orchestration together in a single system. Our cloud-native, API-first platform combines deep identity assurance, adaptive orchestration and real-world validation at scale.

We are trusted by FTSE-listed banks and financial institutions across multiple countries, named a Leading KYC Vendor by Liminal (2025) and recognised in the FinCrimeTech50 (FinTech Global, 2026) as one of the category's standout vendors globally.

Unique opportunity: You will lead Identomat's UK market entry at a time when identity fraud, deepfakes, and synthetic identities are exposing the limits of traditional KYC/AML stacks, and regulators are raising expectations for onboarding, AML, and financial crime prevention. You'll be building on a mature, independently validated platform and an existing international customer base, including FTSE-listed banks and other regulated institutions, while shaping how we enter and scale in one of the world's most important RegTech markets.

You'll set the strategy, lead the commercial motion and build the team. It is a role with genuine leadership scope from day one and a clear development path: as the UK operation grows, so does the remit – with the opportunity to take on broader UK leadership responsibilities over time.

The role: We're hiring a Senior Business Development Lead to own Identomat's UK market entry end-to-end – strategy, the first wins, and the team. You'll be a credible commercial leader who personally leads the early strategic deals to establish the motion, then builds and develops the team around a proven approach. You'll work directly with the founders and ExCo.

What you'll lead:

  • UK strategy and market entry: Define and own the UK go-to-market strategy, segment and prioritise target verticals, and set the roadmap for how we win and scale.
  • Commercial leadership: Take ownership of UK new-business performance – planning, forecasting and delivering against growth targets – and set the commercial direction for the team.
  • ICP and pipeline: Define UK ideal customer profiles and build, prioritise and orchestrate pipeline across banks, payments, fintechs, gambling and adjacent sectors.
  • Strategic opportunities and partnerships: Lead and close priority UK opportunities in the early phase and establish strategic partnerships that support our long-term growth.
  • Team build and leadership: Recruit, develop and lead a UK commercial team (senior/junior account executives, business development and sales development professionals, SDRs/BDRs) aligned to our core sectors.

Who we're looking for:

  • A senior commercial leader (business development, enterprise sales or regional lead) with a track record of owning a revenue number while setting direction and leading others.
  • Deep knowledge of identity verification / KYC / AML / RegTech or closely related categories, with hands-on experience of the objections, procurement journey and stakeholder landscape in regulated environments.
  • A strong working understanding of customer onboarding and fraud-prevention workflows and of how identity verification fits within them.
  • A relevant network from either: A competing IDV/RegTech vendor, or the client side (banks, fintechs, payments, gambling, etc.) where you have evaluated, selected or implemented KYC/AML or onboarding solutions.
  • A track record of closing complex, high-value, compliance-led deals.
  • Someone who enjoys building: bringing structure and discipline to a new market, designing the commercial motion and then scaling it through people, process and tooling.

Nice to have:

  • Existing senior relationships across UK regulated sectors that run high volumes of customer verification.
  • Familiarity with DIATF, the Money Laundering Regulations and ECCTA.
  • Experience standing up a country, region or new market for a scale-up.
  • A point of view on how AI is reshaping identity fraud (deepfakes, synthetic identities) and the compliance response.

What's on offer: The opportunity to be the commercial lead for the UK, building Identomat's UK business and team around a platform already validated by regulators, clients and independent analysts. A high-impact, highly visible role working directly with the leadership team, with clear progression to broader UK leadership responsibilities. A highly competitive salary plus an exceptional discretionary bonus, within a flexible, international working environment.
