Consultant Quantity Surveyors – All Levels considered, Sunderland Based with flexible working terms. Celebrating 20 years in business, Identity Consult is an award-winning development and construction consultancy, proudly accredited as a Gold Investors in People organisation.
We provide project management, cost consultancy, employer’s agent and wider built environment services across the UK, helping clients deliver successful projects from inception to completion. Our people-centred culture is shaped by our core values: excellence, integrity and support.
The Role: We are interested in hearing from talented Quantity Surveyors who want to develop their careers within a supportive, leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy. As part of our team, you will provide Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services across a varied portfolio of projects, supporting clients from inception through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, designers, contractors and clients to provide clear, timely and commercially focused advice.
Depending on your experience, you may support or lead on cost planning, estimating, tender documentation, procurement, valuations, contract instructions, variation assessments, final accounts, contract administration and project certification. You will also help clients manage budgets, understand financial risks and achieve value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a great opportunity for Consultant Quantity Surveyors who enjoy variety, responsibility and client contact, and who want to contribute to the successful delivery of meaningful projects.
We are particularly keen to speak with people who have experience in a construction-related organisation, strong commercial awareness, good communication skills, confidence using Microsoft applications and relevant estimating or cost management systems, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
A degree in Quantity Surveying, HNC in Building Studies or equivalent experience would be welcomed. It is an advantage (but not essential) to have MRICS as a Senior Consultant.
You will be well organised, customer focused and confident building relationships at all levels. Just as importantly, you will bring a positive, proactive approach and a willingness to learn, challenge, collaborate and deliver work to a high standard.
What’s in it for you? In addition to a competitive salary and comprehensive rewards package, you will join a business that values your wellbeing, supports your professional growth and gives you the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects and sectors. You will be supported by experienced colleagues, encouraged to keep developing, and given the space to build lasting client relationships while progressing your career. We also like to add extra personal touches, such as longer lunch breaks, volunteer days and a day off on your birthday.
Feel included at Identity Consult: At Identity Consult, we believe our strength comes from the different experiences, ideas and perspectives our people bring. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to do their best work.
When we recruit, we look beyond a job title. We want to understand the person behind the CV: your skills, your experience, your potential and what motivates you. We then tailor your development to suit your individual aspirations.
GDPR: Your personal information will be stored and shared securely by email with relevant hiring managers for the purpose of considering your application, in line with our recruitment process.
