The Role

As the Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the business and key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities as Management Accountant will include

  • Preparing accurate, timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPIs) with strong balance sheet control.
  • Prepare monthly board packs and associated commentary
  • Partnering with Operations and Procurement to maintain standard costs and ensure any trends are tracked.
  • Assist with the annual statutory accounts
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting, producing insightful commercial analysis across sales, margin, profitability and working capital KPIs.
  • Providing proactive support to the Financial Controller and wider team, offering technical guidance where needed.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is proactive and commercially focused.

You will have

  • Proven experience in a management accounting role as a management accountant, assistant accountant or finance manager
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work independently.
  • Qualified Accountant through CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Hands‑on, collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with operations.
