Job Summary:
We are currently representing a role on behalf of a well-established industry leading manufacturer and supplier at their site in Birmingham.
* The successful candidate for this role will organise production, maintain the installations and is a role model in terms of compliance as well as in the development of the team
* As well as this, the Operations Supervisor will coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of Operators who receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in a warehouse or store.
Main Duties:
* Monitors the performance and output of the team and reassigns production tasks and inputs to ensure that production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards are met.
* Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, ensuring a motivated and efficient team.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
* Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information.
* Maintains 6S standard across the site.
* Ensure that the product meets customer quality and service expectations within a complex process.
Person Specification:
* Strong team leader with a hands-on approach experience within a production/manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of 5S or 6S Methodologies.
* Well rounded Supply chain management experience
