Procurement Specialist Opportunity!

Salary: 45,000 - 55,000

Job Summary: We are currently representing a fantastic opportunity on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer based at their site in East Yorkshire, who are expanding their procurement team to support continued business growth.

Main Duties:

  • Support the development of the Procurement strategy and lead tenders, RFQs, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations.
  • Manage sourcing and ongoing category management to optimise spend and maximise value.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and ensure robust contracts in collaboration with legal and procurement teams.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and driving improvements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand needs, challenge existing approaches, and develop better sourcing solutions.
  • Deliver continuous improvements in cost, service, and quality year on year.

Person Specification:

  • An understanding of contract law and commercial agreements.
  • Experience managing indirect spend.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in resolving procurement challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
