We’re supporting a well-established industrial facility as they strengthen their warehouse and logistics function. Due to continued growth and internal movement, we’re recruiting a Warehouser to join the team and support safe, efficient handling of all inbound and outbound goods. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and stock control. It suits someone with previous warehouse or shipping experience who takes pride in working safely, following procedures and keeping operations running smoothly.

THE ROLE

As a Warehouser, you’ll be responsible for the full logistics flow — receiving goods, checking for discrepancies, storing items correctly, picking orders, packing to required standards and loading outbound shipments. You’ll also operate warehouse machinery, maintain accurate stock records and support general warehouse administration. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the facility to ensure goods move efficiently and safely, following established procedures and contributing to a well-organised, compliant warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and unloading incoming goods, checking for transport damage or discrepancies.
  • Delivering goods to customer locations or designated internal areas.
  • Sorting, labelling and storing goods accurately to optimise warehouse space.
  • Picking outgoing goods based on written or verbal orders.
  • Packing goods in line with ADR standards.
  • Loading goods onto outbound vehicles and ensuring correct load securing.
  • Entering stock data into warehouse systems and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Retrieving stored information to respond to inventory or delivery enquiries.
  • Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Carrying out basic care and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Following loss-prevention, safety and security procedures and reporting non-compliance.
  • Taking immediate action to contain spills using hazardous material procedures.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards and supporting 6S practices.
  • Completing routine clerical tasks such as updating stock cards, completing dispatch forms and answering calls.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role requires someone who is safety-focused, organised and reliable, with the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records in a fast-moving warehouse environment. We’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping role.
  • Experience handling goods/products.
  • Forklift Truck Licence - Flexi truck specifically is required.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (required).
  • Strong awareness of safe operating practices and hazard identification.
  • Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.

Education:

  • Secondary school education (required).

COMPETENCIES

  • Earning Trust: Acting with integrity, communicating transparently, valuing others’ ideas and supporting colleagues.
  • Customer Orientation: Understanding customer needs and ensuring service practices meet expectations.
  • Safety Orientation: Following safe operating practices, identifying hazards, taking corrective action and speaking up when needed.
  • Decision Making: Gathering information, interpreting data, generating options and making timely, effective decisions.
