Job Summary: We are currently representing an opportunity on behalf of our well established logistics client based in the East Yorkshire region who are now looking for an Import Co-Ordinator to join their team and build a career within Logistics.
- Responsible for the planning and maintaining of the import operation. Deal with customer/driver/warehouse issues & queries, charging jobs, ferry bookings and creating job files. Assist the Import Manager to ensure efficiencies and standards are carried forward.
Main Duties:
- Planning of jobs/load building/completion of files to enable the team to complete all the necessary documents.
- General interaction with the team to confirm loading dates and times to ensure consignments are back to meet loading – shipping deadlines.
- Assign drivers to relevant planned loads, inform them of various details.
- Complete driver run sheets/un-loading lists.
- Regular daily interaction with other managers in regard to the daily operation to ensure efficient and timely turnarounds.
- Preparing files for charging/File completion.
