Senior Sales Representative

Overview An established timber importer and machining business is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to drive revenue growth across merchant, manufacturing and construction customers.

This is a senior, externally focused role suited to a high‑calibre field sales professional who is commercially sharp, credible with customers and confident operating within the timber/building materials sector.

The business supplies high‑quality, precision‑machined timber with reliable stock levels, consistent lead times and both standard and bespoke profiling capabilities.

Role Purpose

Role Purpose You will take ownership of a defined portfolio of key accounts, open new doors, and position the company's premium timber and machining services to solve customer problems and add value.

Close collaboration with internal sales, production and logistics teams is essential to ensure customer expectations align with capacity, stock and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve and exceed sales and margin targets.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of merchant, manufacturer and construction accounts as the primary commercial contact.
  • Identify, target and secure new business through structured prospecting, networking and market mapping.
  • Present and promote the full range of machined timber products and bespoke machining services, clearly articulating technical capabilities and commercial benefits.
