My client is an established & growing Defence consultancy who are actively seeking passionate, driven Software Solution Architects to join their Central Government team. This team helps build the future of digital services.
You’ll play a key leadership role in agile project teams, delivering high impact digital solutions for our government clients. From shaping technical architectures and defining solutions, to directly engaging with customers and leading engineering teams, you’ll be at the heart of project success.
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle:
- Architecting, designing, developing, and testing full-stack software solutions
- Drafting technical Statements of Requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions
- Defining and assessing technical architectures and business requirements
- Producing high and low level technical designs, plus high level operating model designs
- Ensuring best practice Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) are followed
- Advising clients on technology choices and strategies
- Working with a wide range of modern technologies, specialising in opensource libraries and components
- Deploying systems to public (AWS, Azure) and private cloud environments
- Managing customer relationships and maintaining high levels of satisfaction
- Leading and mentoring delivery team members, ensuring continuous professional development
What we’re looking for:
- A proven background in solution architecture, developing high-level designs and delivering software projects end-to-end
- Hands on experience across a range of technologies, particularly with cloud native and opensource solutions
- Strong consultancy skills: confident, engaging with clients and stakeholders to translate complex needs into technical strategies
- A solid understanding of agile delivery principles and DevOps practices
- Experience providing technical leadership within delivery teams
- Previous exposure to Central Government or consultancy environments is highly desirable
