I'm working with one of the UK's fastest-growing commerce technology businesses to find a Senior Product Analyst on an initial, 12 month contract engagement.

Contract Details:

  • Hybrid/Central London
  • Initial 12-month
  • Day rate: £600 - £750 per day (outside of IR35)

This is not a traditional reporting or BI role. My client is looking for someone who enjoys being embedded within a product environment, working directly with stakeholders, customers and product teams to identify opportunities, define meaningful metrics and influence product direction through data. You'll become the dedicated analytical lead across a suite of merchant-facing products, helping the business better understand product usage, customer needs and where investment should be focused.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partnering with Product, Design and Data teams to shape product decisions
  • Working directly with merchants and stakeholders to understand what insights are most valuable
  • Defining success measures, KPIs and key metrics
  • Identifying opportunities through analysis and making evidence-based recommendations
  • Evaluating product performance and feature adoption
  • Influencing roadmap prioritisation through customer and data insights
  • Supporting the evolution of customer-facing dashboards and analytics products
  • Acting as a trusted analytical partner across multiple business areas

Ideally you have:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Analyst, Product Analyst, Analytics Manager or similar
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with customer-facing, merchant-facing or analytics products
  • A track record of influencing decisions through insight rather than simply producing reports
  • The ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguous environments
  • Strong analytical and commercial thinking

Particularly relevant backgrounds:

  • E-commerce
  • Logistics
  • Fulfilment
  • Returns
  • Marketplace platforms
  • Commerce technology
  • Subscription or D2C businesses

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with merchant analytics products
  • Exposure to product analytics and experimentation
  • Modern AI-enabled ways of working
  • Experience working across multiple product teams

This role is probably not for you if...

  • You're looking for a purely reporting-focused position
  • You prefer working from a predefined backlog of requests
  • Most of your experience centres around recurring MI or dashboard production
  • You enjoy being told what to analyse rather than identifying opportunities yourself
