I'm partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS business that is investing heavily in its commercial growth engine and looking to hire an exceptional Head of Demand Generation. This isn't a role for someone who wants to optimise what's already there. This is for a builder. A leader who knows how to take a business from being heavily reliant on inbound demand and create a scalable, predictable, multi-channel pipeline engine across outbound, ABM, lifecycle marketing and customer expansion.
You'll own the number that matters most: qualified pipeline. Reporting directly into the CMO, you'll be responsible for shaping and executing the demand strategy, building and leading a high-performing team, and driving measurable revenue growth across both new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
What makes this opportunity interesting?
- Significant executive and board-level backing
- Strong investment commitment and clear growth plans
- Existing foundations already in place (this isn't a blank-sheet startup)
- Opportunity to build and scale a modern demand function
- Strong focus on data-driven decision making and commercial outcomes
- AI already embedded within the vision for the function
- Direct influence over strategy, budget, team structure and growth plans
You’ll be responsible for:
- Owning marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline targets
- Driving acquisition economics including CAC, payback and conversion performance
- Building a sophisticated ABM/ABX strategy
- Developing lifecycle and nurture programmes that create measurable pipeline
- Driving customer expansion and cross-sell growth
- Leading demand, performance marketing and marketing operations
- Owning attribution, reporting and marketing effectiveness
- Leveraging AI to scale productivity across targeting, content, research and reporting
I'm keen to speak with people who have:
- Proven B2B SaaS demand generation leadership experience
- A track record of generating significant pipeline and revenue growth
- Strong understanding of inbound, outbound, ABM and lifecycle marketing
- Experience managing paid acquisition and performance marketing functions
- Deep experience with marketing automation and HubSpot ecosystems
- A highly commercial mindset with a focus on pipeline, revenue and ROI
- Experience operating within high-growth, PE-backed or scale-up environments
This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape the demand generation capability of an ambitious SaaS business at a pivotal stage of growth. Hybrid - Greater Manchester (one day a week on-site)
