We are looking for a Bid Writer to join a specialist digital consultancy partnering with public and private sector organisations to design and deliver user-centred digital services. They support organisations through complex digital transformation programmes, blending strategy, service design, governance and delivery to improve outcomes for citizens and end users.

The business is looking to hire an experienced Bid Writer to support the development of high-quality, compelling bids, frameworks and proposals as part of continued growth. Reporting into a senior commercial leader, you'll take a hands-on role in producing clear, structured and high-scoring written submissions, managing multiple opportunities at once. This role sits within a small, collaborative consultancy, giving you real ownership of the end-to-end bid process and the quality of all written outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to submission
  • Own bid plans, timelines and submission requirements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts, delivery teams and leadership
  • Ensure submissions are fully compliant with procurement requirements and scoring criteria
  • Take responsibility for the structure, flow and final quality of all written responses
Content Creation & Quality
  • Write persuasive, tailored bid responses aligned to agreed win themes
  • Translate complex technical and delivery concepts into clear, accessible content
  • Structure answers to maximise evaluation scores
  • Edit, refine and challenge contributions from others to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Incorporate relevant case studies, evidence and supporting material
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to turn bid strategy into strong written responses
  • Actively review feedback from unsuccessful bids and apply learnings
  • Contribute to post-bid reviews and ongoing improvement of templates, processes and content libraries
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in a hands-on bid writing or proposal role
