Lead QA Engineer - SaaS Scale-Up
Exeter (Hybrid)
Up to £60,000 per annum + benefits
We're partnering with one of the South West's top tech scale-ups, recently named in the "Sunday Times Best Places to Work", to find a dynamic Lead QA to lead and evolve their quality function.
This is a high-impact role for someone who can balance strategy with hands-on testing, scale automation, and embed a quality-first mindset across a fast-growing engineering team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead QA across web and mobile products
- Enhance and own the automation framework (Playwright, Cypress or Selenium)
- Drive continuous improvement in testing and release processes
- Mentor QA team members and collaborate closely with engineering
- Balance manual and automated testing, including API testing (Postman)
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years in a senior QA or leadership role within a SaaS or product-focused business
- Strong JavaScript test automation experience
- Skilled in both manual and automated testing
- Great communicator, team player, and problem solver
- Experience with mobile testing, Git/GitHub or ISTQB a bonus
