My market leading SME customer are looking to secure the services of a Delivery Manager from a strong business change and transformation background. Ideally coming with experience in the consultancy sector, any prior assignments working with the MoD would be a big advantage. Historic/previous career experience working as a BA would also be advantageous to the structure of the team. We’re looking for someone to start ASAP, you must have current and active SC Clearance in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-performing, agile, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex digital products and services within consultancy or client-facing environments, including projects.
- Effectively influence changes and change initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end delivery lifecycles, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Own and maintain effective delivery governance and artefacts (e.g., RAID logs, highlight reports, delivery plans, and budget trackers).
- Collaborate with clients and internal specialists at all levels within the organisation.
- Apply strong delivery assurance and progress tracking to maintain quality.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement through workshops and effective communication at all organisational levels.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, financial forecasts, timesheets, and Statements of Work in a consultancy or client-facing setting.
- A solid technical understanding to work confidently with technical leads in identifying and managing requirements, dependencies, and issues.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
- Proven ability to manage complex delivery lifecycles, effectively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, and balancing multiple goals and dependencies.
- Strong delivery assurance, risk management, and progress tracking capabilities.
- Knowledge of the MoD and its working practices.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or PRINCE2 Agile.
