We're supporting a digital consultancy working on large, complex UK public sector programmes, and they're looking for a Technical Project Manager to take hands‑on ownership of delivery across technically demanding projects.
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the detail, is comfortable operating in complex delivery environments, and takes real accountability for getting technical work over the line properly.
What you'll actually be doing
- You'll take day‑to‑day ownership of delivering technical projects within wider public sector programmes. That includes working with clients to clarify outcomes and constraints, translating those into clear technical deliverables, and shaping statements of work that suppliers can realistically deliver against.
- You'll work closely with technical teams and delivery partners to:
- Track progress, resolve issues, and keep delivery moving
- Challenge estimates and assumptions when needed
- Manage suppliers from mobilisation through to performance management, escalation and sign‑off
