Project Manager, Security Infrastructure
Location: Aldermaston / Reading, Berkshire
Contract: 18 months
Rate: £63.57 per hour Umbrella
IR35: Inside IR35
Working pattern: Full time, minimum 60% onsite
Nationality: Sole British Nationals only
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex security infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.
This role has a strong construction, physical security and supply chain focus. You will take ownership of project delivery across schedule, cost, risk, governance and quality, working closely with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver assigned projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Manage project governance, compliance and reporting.
- Lead project planning, scheduling and resource management.
- Manage project budgets and financial performance.
- Drive delivery against agreed project baselines and milestones.
- Manage risks, opportunities, issues and dependencies.
- Lead and coordinate contractors and supply chain partners.
- Manage change against the Performance Measurement Baseline.
- Work closely with technical, security, construction and operational stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards across health and safety, security and quality.
- Take ownership of projects and drive delivery with limited supervision.
Experience required:
- Strong Project Management experience within complex organisations.
- NEC contract management experience.
- Experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects.
- Background within the physical security or security infrastructure sector.
- Experience working with security solutions such as hostile vehicle mitigation or associated protective infrastructure.
- Strong supply chain and contractor management experience.
- Demonstrable experience managing project schedules, costs and risks.
- Experience working within highly regulated, secure or safety-critical environments.
- Good understanding of the construction phase and site delivery.
- Technology or engineering background within areas such as electrical infrastructure, rail, signalling, underground infrastructure or similar.
- Strong governance, stakeholder management and reporting capability.
- CSCS card or relevant construction site awareness would be beneficial.
