Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on IT support within a secure environment, covering field service, workshop repairs, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update service desk tickets, ensuring SLA compliance
  • Perform hardware diagnostics, break/fix repairs (laptops & desktops)
  • Manage IT asset stock, including in/out scanning and tracking
  • Support vendor liaison for warranty repairs and parts
  • Carry out secure disposal and locker replenishment tasks
  • Identify and escalate service issues or improvements

Requirements

  • SC clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • 2+ years’ experience in PC field service or workshop environment
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Willingness to join out-of-hours/standby rota
  • HP/Dell accreditation (or willingness to train)
