IT Support Engineer – Windows 11 Migration Project (Onsite Early Life Support)
Duration: Up to 3 months (with a view to extend)
Location: Lympstone, Devon (Secure Site – SC Clearance Required)
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide on-site early‑life support during a major Windows 11 migration programme. This role involves supporting the setup and smooth operation of the Refresh Clinic, assisting users with device refreshes, and ensuring all activities are accurately logged and completed to project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and day‑to‑day operation of the Refresh Clinic for device migrations.
- Move and manage devices between secure storage and the Refresh Clinic under supervision.
- Refresh laptops and support end users during the migration process.
- Accurately update workflow management systems at all required steps.
- Collaborate with the Post‑Migration Technical Support Specialist and Site Manager to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support daily stock checks and report findings to the site management team.
- Ensure all devices and equipment are securely stored at the end of each day.
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance.
- Previous experience in IT support, desktop migration, or hardware refresh projects.
- Follow process discipline and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a secure, structured environment.
