IT Support Engineer – SC cleared Inside IR35 around £200 per day Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 at Central London Occasional Travel: Minimal travel to other sites may be required – therefore driving license is Essential About the role We are seeking a customer-focused IT Engineer to join the Tech Support Team focussing on providing IT Support for a Public Sector client based in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-profile environment providing hands-on IT support to Gov teams. You will be a key point of contact for resolving technical issues and ensuring the smooth operation of user IT services. What will you do? Deliver first and second-line technical support to end-users Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and configurations within GOV-compliant environments. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times. Escalate more complex issues to appropriate support teams where necessary. Ensure all incidents and requests are accurately logged and managed via the service desk system. Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates. Be willing to support other sites on rare occasions, which require driving a van (provided) Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a similar IT support or service desk environment. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts. Confident in diagnosing hardware and software issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support tickets efficiently.
