Duration: Contract role, starting ASAP
We are currently seeking an IT Support Engineer – Deployment Project to support a major migration initiative at a secure site near Gloucester. This is a hands-on deployment role requiring experience with device refresh projects and supporting end-users onsite during early life support (ELS) phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support device deployment and migration activities across the site
- Set up and maintain the Refresh Clinic to facilitate hardware rollouts
- Assist with the physical movement of devices between storage and clinic areas
- Log into systems using devices provided, following guidance from site engineers
- Perform laptop refresh tasks and handover of new equipment to users
- Update workflow management systems accurately at each step of the migration process
- Identify and escalate issues to the Site Manager or Post-Migration Technical Support team
- Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings accordingly
- Secure and store devices safely at the end of each day in line with security procedures
Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance (Security Clearance) is essential
- Proven experience supporting IT hardware deployment or refresh projects
- Comfortable working in secure, structured environments with high attention to detail
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to follow processes precisely and work collaboratively with technical teams
- Reliable and proactive approach to work in a fast-paced project setting
