We are currently seeking a reliable and process-driven IT Support Administrator to support a major technology refresh project at a secure site in Hereford. This role will involve hands-on device handling, coordination with engineering staff, and accurate system updates throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and preparation of equipment for end-user laptop refreshes, in line with project plans.
- Support the configuration of migration areas and refresh clinics on site.
- Move IT equipment between secure storage and refresh areas as directed by the Site Manager or deployment engineers.
- Log into systems and perform basic tasks under the instruction of the contractor’s engineer or Site Manager.
- Carry out laptop refresh activities following defined procedures.
- Accurately update workflow management systems at each stage of the deployment process.
- Escalate queries or technical issues to the Post-Migration Technical Support Specialist or Site Manager when needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance – this is essential due to the nature of the site.
- Previous experience in IT deployments, desktop refresh projects, or similar hands-on IT roles.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to following instructions.
- Confident using workflow systems and basic IT tools.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in a secure environment, maintaining professionalism at all times.
