This is an IT contractor position supporting Submarines with a focus on mobility, field work, and engineering support. The engineer will work closely alongside another engineer and support a wide range of hardware builds, moves, and other technical tasks across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend and work onsite in Derby and other UK-based locations if needed.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to complete technical tasks.
- Utilize various IT tools and systems to complete builds, moves, and support activities.
- Travel to remote sites across the UK as needed; overnight stays may be required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with security and compliance standards.
- Security Clearance: Must hold current SC Clearance.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
- Mobility: Willing and able to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays.
- Previous project-based or field engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with hardware installations, PC builds, and desktop relocations.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level IT tools and asset management systems.
