Information Technology Support Engineer

Job Title: IT Support Engineer – Device Migration Project

Location: Onsite – MOD RAF- Wolverhampton, WV7 3EX

Clearance Requirement: SC Clearance (active)

Contract Type: Contract – Inside IR35 – £28ph

We are seeking a reliable and security-cleared IT Support Assistant to join a high-profile device refresh project at a secure MOD site. The successful candidate will assist with logistics, device handling, and workflow system updates to support a smooth migration process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the initial setup of the migration environment and refresh clinic.
• Move IT equipment as directed by the Site Manager and Contractor Engineer.
• Support device refresh operations under supervision, including logging into systems as instructed.
• Accurately update workflow management systems at each stage of the process.
• Coordinate with the Post-Migration Technical Support Specialist for guidance as needed.
• Perform daily manual stock checks and report findings.
• Ensure the secure storage of all devices at the end of each day.

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance (mandatory – applications without this cannot be considered)
• Previous experience working in secure or government environments is a plus.
